What started as a dream in my early 20s became reality when I opened Soul Sessions Studio in January 2017, right here in Greeley, Colorado. My musical journey began early - piano lessons as a kid led to clarinet and saxophone in middle school, where I fell head-over-heels for jazz and improv. That love for blues, jazz, and funk shaped everything that followed, including picking up guitar and bass along the way. I eventually pursued jazz performance in college, which gave me the foundation for understanding music from the inside out.
While I initially focused on Hip Hop in Northern Colorado, my passion extends far beyond one genre. I've mixed and mastered tracks for bands across the spectrum, and I'm actively looking to dive deeper into country, indie, and metal - so if that's your sound, definitely reach out! Whether you're a solo artist wanting to create something from scratch or a full band ready to mix and master your final project, I'm here for it.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with incredible local talent like Anville, Longcut, Blak the Map, Miah Sky, K Deuce, Shawmonsta, Mitchell James, and Devin Tremell, among many others. I've also built strong relationships with standout studios and engineers in Denver and across the country, which means more opportunities and connections for the artists I work with.
What excites me most about this next chapter for Soul Sessions Studio is letting go of some control and helping up-and-coming engineers, producers, and artists develop the relationships they need to grow and succeed. At the end of the day, it's all about quality sound, crisp vocals, and building lasting relationships throughout Colorado's music community.

Meet Sardonyx - a true multi-hyphenate who brings an incredible range of talents to Soul Sessions Studio. As a producer, studio engineer, live sound engineer, rapper, and insanely talented scratch turntablist, Gabe embodies the kind of versatility that makes great music happen.
Sardonyx's journey with Soul Sessions Studio goes back to our very beginning. He's been learning under the legendary DJ Yetty off and on since we first opened our doors, soaking up knowledge and honing his craft as an intern. But his story doesn't stop there - he's also the go-to live sound engineer at both the Moxi in Greeley and the Roxy in Denver, bringing his expertise to some of Colorado's most respected venues.
His path into music started with DJing, naturally evolved into producing, and led him to intern with us at Soul Sessions. But it was a random session with DJ Yetty and Uno Mas (Nate Dogg's nephew) that unlocked another dimension - singing. Since that moment, he's been developing his solo artist act, adding yet another layer to his already impressive skill set.
What sets Sardonyx apart is his incredible ear for sound, combined with extensive knowledge in live sound engineering. Whether you're working on a studio project or dealing with live sound challenges, Gabe's the engineer to consult with. His experience spans from the booth to the stage, making him an invaluable resource for artists looking to perfect their sound in any environment.
